Chased some afternoon pulse-type storms with a decently sharp cold front sliding into a juicy atmosphere. Storms never organized substantially except where they bumped into some better convergence near Lake Huron and Saginaw Bay. It wasn't really worth it to drive that far so I just spent a couple hours shooting time-lapse of distant towers pulsing up. Shear was marginal, but I think the main problem was the direction of the frontal forcing relative to the wind shear. It caused outflow boundaries to align parallel rather than perpendicular to the shear vector. WSW flow off Lake Michigan also didn't help matters.
