Is Your Nvidia GTX 1070 Graphics Card Obsolete ? Here we talk about if your graphics card needs to be upgraded to the latest and greatest Nvidia gtx 1080 or Nvidia gtx 1080 ti. I would like to believe the gtx 1070 at $399.99 is the sweet spot for gamers and performance on 1440p monitors. The gtx 1080 when it debuted was geared towards 4k gaming, but that didn't mean the GTX 1070 could not do 4K it just meant you had to lower the settings a little or shouldn't expect anything close to 60 frames per second.

The 1080 is only about 20% stronger than the 1070 and the gtx 1080 ti is touted to be up to 35% more powerful than the gtx 1080 making it about 55% more powerful than the gtx 1070 ironically it is priced 55% more!

I can't say my math is perfect but in layman's dollar for dollar per performance price points, its pretty spot on !

So do you think the Nvidia GTX 1070 is obsolete ? let us know in the comments section below!
