Have you ever wondered how our bee hives are built? In this video, we explain why we completely redesigned the corners of our hives to create the unique comb joint. For over a hundred years, bee boxes were built using traditional finger joints. While they work fine, they can be hard to assemble when the wood swells. We used modern machines to create a joint that is five times more accurate and incredibly easy to put together. The comb joint is shaped like a semi hexagon, inspired directly by the bees. This design leaves much less end grain exposed to the weather. Less exposed end grain means less water gets inside the wood, so your hive will last significantly longer. It also features a strong inset frame rest with no weak tabs to break off. If you are looking for beautifully crafted and durable woodenware for your apiary, we have exactly what you need.
