part I- the general theory of evolution (not just biological) has something in common with creationism.  But maybe a better way to bring meaning and purpose back into evolution is to talk about involution? Note that the cycle of involution-evolution is not necessarily exactly circular, it could be a spiral. We may begin in a certain form of oneness, disperse into the many, and then realize an entirely new form of oneness at a distance. Keep in mind that this cycle/spiral "takes place" in eternity, so strictly speaking there are no beginnings or endings to it. It is always occurring, it is ever-present. 

part II- I discuss how Karl Popper talks about teleology in Darwinian evolution. He says that we can use purpose-laden language in biology because natural selection can simulate design and rationality. I think purpose exists in nature as more than a mere appearance or persistent illusion. I also think that a coming paradigm shift in our scientific view of the world will confirm this. Rather, I think the shift is already in the process of occurring. There doesn't seem to be a single macro view of the cosmos offered by the sciences at the moment, there are only many competing schemas. Think of this as the chaos in a system as it switches between attractors.
