In this video you can see a tiny spider cleaning its chelicerae, fangs, pedipalps and legs. A few minutes before it was still eating a small cricket. Although it looks quite big, the spider is relatively small, as you can see at the end of the video.


In diesem video ist eine kleine Spinne zu sehen, die ihre Cheliceren, Pedipalpen und Beine reinigt. Kurze Zeit vorher hat sie ein Heimchen gefressen. Auch wenn die Spinne sehr groß zu sein scheint, am Ende des Videos sieht man, dass sie doch relativ klein ist.

Chelicerae:

"The chelicerae are mouthparts of the Chelicerata, an arthropod subphylum that includes arachnids, Merostomata (horseshoe crabs), and Pycnogonida (sea spiders). Additionally, some chelicerae, such as those found in spiders, are hollow and contain (or are connected to) venom glands, and are used to inject venom into prey or a (perceived) threat."
