Fire guts a section of the ground floor of Sarit Centre in Westlands

Fire gutted a section of the ground floor of Sarit Centre in Westlands, Nairobi. Smoke could be seen billowing from one of the shops in which the fire started. Shoppers and motorists who had parked near the affected shop were quickly evacuated as rapid response teams from Nairobi City County arrived at the scene. There were no immediate reports on damage, injuries and casualties. The cause of the flames, which were contained a few minutes later, is yet to be established.
