Lady Tiger freshman Tori Bliss earned a 4th-place finish in the women's championship shot put at the 2012 New Balance Collegiate Invitational after posting back-to-back PRs of 51-5 1/2 on her 5th throw and 51-7 on her sixth throw of the competition. Bliss entered the meet with a previous lifetime PR of 50-11 1/2 that she set at the Texas A&M Dual Meet just two weeks before.
