We all hike at a different pace, arrive different times, It does not matter, we can all meet at the summit and spend SATURDAY NIGHT, THE 29TH up there. I will most likely night hike Friday the 28th and already be there as you arrive but feel free to arrive any time, just meet at the top and spend the 29th as a group. We I want to invite you all for one of the following. A Friday August 28th night hike up MT. Baden Powell's 41 switchbacks to the summit for the night of sleeping under the stars at 9,407' elevation, followed by others possibly meeting us the next morning to spend the day up and around the summit, then either a 41 switch backs down the same trail OR follow the PCT north bound ti Little jimmy and down to Islip saddle for a car shuttle ride back to Vincent gap parking lot and home Or, you can hike up Saturday from Vincent gap parking lot and either just spend the day or stay the night with the same two options for return. If you choose to take the pct to Little Jimmy and exit down Islip saddle you will NEED TO discuss the shuttle details. Who will follow who to Islip and then leave a car, and carpool back to Vincent to begin the hike. This way a car is waiting in the lot as you reach the hwy to return to other guys car. Sound complicated but that's due to humans dependency on smart phones :-) No worries, leave your intentions in the details and we can all pair up this way. No water on route, I have been told the spring off the side is bone dry. carry as much as you see fit. I will take 3 liters and two more frozen plus one frozen Gatorade. Bring sun screen and a tarp if you have one. If not we can share.
