A cruiserweight fight between Contender Season 4 competitors, Tim "The Hammer" Flamos and Felix "Bad News" Cora Jr. This fight would also mark the end of the road for veteran, Tim Flamos. More info below...

Tim Flamos was a 14 year veteran having first turned pro in 1995. In the year 2000 he won the USA Massachusetts State Cruiserweight title. In 2002 he also added the USA New England Cruiserweight title to his waist followed by the vacant EBA Cruiserweight Title in 2003. Flamos was inactive during 2004 and 2005 however he made his return in 2006 with mixed results. In 2009 the 41 year old Flamos entered The Contender Season 4 with a record of 20-4-1 and it was going to be his last chance to make some big cash money from boxing. Unfortunately for Flamos he was beaten by Ryan Coyne (9-0) via split decision in his opening bout.

Felix Cora Jr had turned pro in the year 2000 and was undefeated in his first 20 fights going 18-0-2. In 2003 he earned a draw against fellow undefeated fighter Michael Sims but then beat Sims the following year by majority decision to win the vacant USBA Cruiserweight title. In 2005 Cora beat former IBF World Cruiserweight Champion, Arthur Williams, to win the NABF Cruiserweight belt. He successfully defended the NABF title against Darnell Wilson before losing it to undefeated Vadim Tokarev by 4th round TKO, his first loss. In 2007 Cora challenged undefeated Matt Godfrey for the NABF and NABA Cruiserweight titles but was stopped in round 2. In December 2008 Cora entered The Contender Season 4 with a 18-2-2 record beating undefeated Joell Godfrey (9-0) in his opening bout. He lost his quarter final match however when he was surprisingly TKO'd in the 1st round by Troy Ross.

Flamos and Cora were matched together on the under card of The Contender Season 4 final. For Flamos, this was his last chance to keep his career alive... Unfortunately for Flamos he didn't have the arsenal to deal with Cora effectively and although he did keep coming forward and pressuring Cora, he was unable to land any significant blows and Cora was easily able to outbox him eventually earning a TKO in the 3rd round. Flamos retired immediately following the loss with a final record of 20-6-1.

Felix Cora Jr continued boxing and in 2011 he fought undefeated Pawel Kolodziej for the vacant WBA International Cruiserweight title going the 12 round distance but losing the decision. In his next fight Cora fought undefeated NABA Cruiserweight Champion, Lateef Kayode, but once again lost a decision after 10 rounds. Cora would bounce back in 2013 when he beat WBO Latino Cruiserweight Champion, Laudelino Jose Barros. In 2015 Cora was TKO'd by IBF Inter-Continental Cruiserweight Champion, Murat Gassiev. His professional record currently stands at 25-7-2.
