Marine Steve and I have schlepped children and then grandchildren out West to learn as each turned between 8-12 years old. First, bring lots of money and a credit card. Skiing is a very expensive sport! Add lessons, lift tickets, equipment, plane tickets, condo, food.... Well...by the time you are done, two people could have easily gone to Europe for two weeks. But like American Express says, "The experience is priceless." Follow along to see the ups and downs while children learn to ski at Copper Mountain, Colorado.
