Powdered sugar mite treatment for my new bees

Varroa mites are a problem for honey bees. I had not thought of this technique until a gentleman at the package pick up place showed it to anyone that was interested. I decided to give my bees a treatment with the powdered sugar, but didn't see many mites fall out when I put paper under them. Hopefully that is because my bees were nice and clean!
