Clip, Connect and Clone for the Web, or C3W, developed at the Meme Media Laboratory of Hokkaido University, allows users to build their own interfaces that draw together elements of existing web applications. The input and result elements that have been clipped continue to work as they did within their web pages, so just by changing the text, users can create their own customized Web application. Results from one or more applications can be fed to the inputs of another application, automating the process, allowing users to input text into multiple locations simultaneously. This system is now being used within a European research project on Bioinformatics for the treatment of cancer.
