http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com The Place des Vosges in the Marais District on the Right Bank is the oldest square in Paris. The square consists of 36-39 houses made of red brick and constructed under Henri IV from 1605-1612. The arcade around the entire perimeter of the square is filled with cafes, nightclubs and shops in these once private residences of French royals. There is also a strong gay presence in the entire Marais District. Just take a look at some of the flamboyant clothing in the boutiques! Another first for us. Getting a chance to enjoy the ambiance and explore all the little side street running off the Place des Vosges. A person needs time and repeat visits to really enjoy the individual Paris neighborhoods. Please don't forget to Subscribe Share and lIke. Thanks.
