Westbury residents demand intervention in gang violence

Residents took to the streets, barricading roads and burning tyres. A number of people - including an SABC journalist - were wounded when police used rubber bullets to disperse the crowd. Community members are demanding government intervention saying that crime and gang violence is out of control. Meanwhile two men believed to be involved in a shooting incident claimed the life of a Westbury mother and left a child critical wounded, have been arrested.
