Kerala Violinist Balabhaskar Passes Away 7 Days After Car Incident, 

Popular singer and violinist Balabhaskar passed away on October 2 early morning after suffering a cardiac arrest. The singer's family met with a tragic car accident on September 25.

Renowned South Indian violinist-composer B Balabhaskar passed away at the age of 40. Balabhaskar and his wife were grievously injured in a car accident and were being treated at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.

Though Balabhaskar showed signs of recovery in the last 2 days, he suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday (October 1) late night. At 12:48 am on Tuesday (October 2), doctors confirmed his death.

The musician's family met with a tragic car accident on September 25 in the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram. Balabhaskar along with his wife Lakshmi and 2-year-old daughter Tejaswi were returning after visiting a temple in Thrissur.

His car, driven by his friend Arjun into a huge tree after the driver slept off. Though the family was rushed to the hospital, doctors declared that 2-year-old Teajswi was brought dead.

Balabhaskar and his wife were in critical condition and were kept in ventilator support for over a week. On Saturday (September 29), he showed some signs of progress.

However, the doctors couldn't recover him after he suffered a heart attack on October 1. Balabhaskar's wife Lakshmi continues to be in critical condition
