many worlds seems to allow for both a free mind and a determined material world. The material world is an infinite array of possible worlds all existing simultaneously, each of which being completely explained in deterministic terms. The indeterminism comes in because consciousness appears to choose only one of these worlds to be aware of. I think I tend to like Bohm's ideas about the implicate order a bit more than the many words interpretation, but who the hell knows what is really going on down there! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implicate_and_Explicate_Order
