A5031008 Luna is a picture-pretty, 1-year-old female black-and-white Bull Terrier/Pointer mix puppy who came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on February 7th as an owner surrender with no reason given. Weighing 40 lbs, Luna is a very, very scared little girl -- the shelter is no place for a puppy, and she’s been here a long time. She tends to “pancake” in fear -- crouching submissively on the ground -- and it’s almost impossible to walk her on leash because she is just so frightened. However, she’s gentle, kissy, and eager to bond with anyone who offers a safe harbor -- interact gently with her, and she’ll crawl right into your lap! Luna is quite underweight, but has lovely “Holstein cow” spots and amazing, enormous, upright ears -- cared for properly, she’ll be a stunner. This girl needs love, understanding, and patience to come out of her shell. Given positive training and the support of a loving family, she’ll become a devoted family pet.
