OU began the week ranked at No. 8 in the AP. But the CFP committee showed us some love and ranked the Sooners No. 5 ahead of No. 6 Ohio State. Because head-to-head matters.

The only problem I have with this is Clemson is ranked No. 4. And it’s one loss is Syracuse. Cuse is trash.

Our one loss is to Iowa State who has turned out to be pretty good picking up 2 top 5 scalps in one month of football.

Iowa State is ranked No. 15. OSU is No. 11. Means Bedlam MATTERS

—GAME NOTES—

Earliest Bedlam meeting since 2004 when they met in October.

OU is 14-1 when both teams are ranked and 12-0 when ranked ahead of OSU.

OU is 10-2 against the Mullet.

OU’s 86 wins against OSU is tied for second most in FBS history. Nebraska has 86 against Iowa State and 91 against Kansas.

But since getting thumped by TCU the Pokes have won four straight, and it’s because that offense can roll against 3-man fronts. 

I mean Justice Hill went down, and OSU handed the ball to a freshman who carried the rock 36 times for 142 yards. Because Yurcich just wants to score.

I think it’s worth saying TCU runs a 4-man front and a 4-2-5 base package. MIKE! Watch the damn film on that game!

17 official visitors were at Texas Tech and Riley hinted at multiple commitments following the game.

Biggest news was the announcement of Ronnie Perkins. He’s one of the best weak-side defensive ends in the nation. For us, this makes him an heir-apparent to Obo.

That means he’s opposite next to Ron Tatum. We rolling.

Offensive lineman Reuben Unite tells me he’ll announce his college decision on Nov. 19. Oklahoma is sitting pretty there.

Sooners are also in good shape with Texas linebacker commit Ayodele Adeoye. Adeoye is a St. Louis native, and he’s kept in regular contact with the Sooners staff despite his verbal to the rival Longhorns in June. OU appears to be the leader.

Linebacker and Texas A&M commit DaShaun White could flip to OU. Leon O’Neal left Norman very impressed as well. Two more Army All-Americans that could wind up playing at OU.
