Woman in trouble for friend's death after dumping body on side of road

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) - A Hamilton County woman was in trouble for allowing her friend to die.

Police said Cassidi Cowans was with Ryan Wood when he overdosed on heroin. Cowans allegedly tried to revive him, but it didn't work.

Then, she told police she tried getting him to a hospital but the road was blocked because of an accident. So, she pulled over along Harrison Avenue in Green Township and left Wood's body on the side of the road.

She'll face a judge Thursday morning, February 23, on an abuse of a corpse charge.
