Is Valkyrie Connect... a Whale hunt or real game?

After A Team ripped away the last emulator access to Valkyrie Connect, I became suspicious as to the real reason behind the move. Thier "due to cheating" excuse was thin as rice paper, and when that excuse was challenged by the fact that there are emulators that do not have cheat elements, A Team had no answer. As I kept playing and gaining more experience it became evident that VC is not just a game, but something else to A Team that's not very encouraging to players who just want a fun game experience.
