On Monday the Chairperson of the ANC's subcommittee on economic transformation, Enoch Godongwana said that the party has made a lot of mistakes when it comes to land expropriation. Some members of the party suggested that the Constitution needed to be amended, while others say there is no need, as section 25 of the Constitution already allowed for expropriation of land without compensation to take place. This, therefore, means that the Parliamentary Constitutional Review Committee could come to a halt. And those opposed to the amendment of the Constitution could likely have their say in court.
