Super hot and melted chocolate is a treat, especially during the winter when the weather is cold. ▶︎ PREVIOUS VIDEO: Craftsmas Haul 2016 || https://youtu.be/VnUrEH2oP5k ▶︎ INSTAGRAM https://www.instagram.com/kristinlagman ▶︎ TWITTER http://twitter.com/kristin_lagman INGREDIENTS & DIRECTIONS Churros 250ml (1 cup) water 100g (7 Tbsp) butter, salted 150g (1 cup) all-purpose flour 3 eggs, lightly beaten Vegetable oil, for deep frying Melted Chocolate: 1/2 cup heavy cream 3/4 cup chocolate of your choice -- I used 1/4 c. milk chocolate, 1/4 c. dark chocolate, and 1/4 c. Callebaut Premium Belgian Bittersweet Chocolate Wafers 1/2 tsp. vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract 1/4 tsp cinnamon Pinch of fine salt 1. Combine water and butter in a medium saucepan and bring to the boil over high heat. Stir until butter melts. Remove from heat. 2. Add the flour and stir until well combined and the dough comes away from the side of the saucepan 3. Temper the dough by adding in 1/3 of the egg mixture. If your pan is too hot, the eggs will cook. Add the remaining eggs in 2 stages, beat well until combined. 4. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. 5. Scoop dough into piping bag with a star nozzle. 6. Pipe whatever shape you want. 7. Meanwhile, combine "Melted Chocolate" ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir for 5 minutes or until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. 8. In a heavy-bottomed pot, heat at least 2 inches of oil. Heat to 180degreesC or 350degreesF over medium heat. If you don't have a thermometer, use a wooden dowel or chopstick. When small bubbles appear, the oil is ready. Check often and do not leave hot oil unattended. 9. Carefully place frozen churros in oil. Fry on each side for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. 10. Transfer churros to a cooling rack lined with paper towel. 11. Enjoy while churros and chocolate are still hot. Music by: "Sabana Havana" by Jimmy Fontanez/Media Right Produc(tions?)
