Any information or program you choose to put into use from this video is done AT YOUR OWN RISK. As a precaution, I recommend backing up any irrecoverable data before installing and using ANY new software(s), including those shown in this video. This video will show you how to monitor and set proper audio recording volume levels on your Windows-based PC through the use of volume unit (VU) metering available through the following free softwares: MP3DirectCut and the Lame MP3 Encoder. By doing so, you can ensure that your voice recordings will be loud enough to be heard on your recordings or by the other call party, all while not being too loud to create peaking, popping, distorted audio that constantly drops out due to overmodulation. MP3DirectCut can be downloaded at: http://mpesch3.de1.cc/mp3dc.html The Lame encoder can be downloaded at: http://lame1.buanzo.com.ar/
