This holiday sugar cookie recipe is and simple and beautiful!

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3-1/4 cups AP flour
1/2 tsp each of baking soda, baking powder and salt
Jolly Ranchers
Icing

Chill cookies in freezer for 10 minutes before baking to prevent too much spreading.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees and bake for 8-9 minutes. Let cool completely.
