Animation (timelapse) of the 1980 Atlantic Hurricane Season, covering from June 1 to December 1 and consisting of around 1,400 images. At this early time of regular satellite imagery, there were bugs and glitches leading to unsteady frames, which is noticable during this video. The GOES-2 Satellite was used from 1978 until August 1981, when it was replaced in this region by GOES-5.
