Another Gotham Knight fanvid, I re-cut an earlier attempt at video for the Deadshot storyline. Its more or less the same as the previous one except its slightly shorter and done with a different song. As always the best fit for a song is tricky though You Fight Me is more so pointing at something Bruce debates at the end of the story shown in Deadshot. He relates the fight atop the monorail with Deadshot to the night his parents were murdered in front of him. He believes he has been trying to stop those two bullets all his life and that his role as Batman feels increasingly futile. Alfred as usual acknowledges this possibility yet subscribes to a different notion that he is serving a purpose one that is not always clear or fulfilling. Even I don't pretend to understand what drives him, what compels him to do these things, but it is what he does, even when it seems hopeless or futile. What he does is remind everyone the price of everything including what vigilance costs them. This world may not be Gotham City, but somehow even here, even now there is a need of people to do things that ask much of them without much in return. Batman represents all the ambiguities and questions especially now.
