Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/MustyYetisTacticalHQ Here is a short review of my Springfield XDs. This is definitely a small, lightweight pistol, that's best suited for conceal carry. This pistol comes in .45 ACP or 9mm, I chose to go with the 9mm. Recoil was a real concern of mine and I figured the 9mm would be easier to manage, especially with the small amount of grip you get. After doing some research I found the Hornady Critical Defense in 9mm is probably the best choice for this pistol. It offers even expansion through multiple different materials. The XDs is surprisingly comfortable for how small it is. This pistol offers a thicker backstrap to help it fit your hand better. If you are really conceded with the grip of this pistol you could buy the extended magazine. It basically turns the XDs into a full size pistol and gives you 2 extra rounds. All and all I'm really impressed with the XDs's size and comfort.
