Travel Expert Paul Lasley Talks Egypt Tourism During Arab Spring on China Central TV News Courtesy of E.B. GO Vision Media: As the Middle East exploded in supposedly democratic revolutions, Egypt was in chaos and the tourism industry, about 12% of the GDP, got hammered as bookings were cancelled or dried up completely. Popular resorts like Sharm El Sheikh, on the Red Sea where fine snorkeling and beautiful beaches are draw, were empty as the streets of Cairo seethed with large crowds and chaos. Paul Lasley, co-host of On Travel Radio Show, is interviewed on China Central TV news, broadcast out of Washington, D.C., about all the various implications for tourism not only in Egypt as the Middle East seethed with discontent and revolution. https://www.OnTravel.com.
