Ep. 60- Twin GP-40-3s haul 68 cars into Alpena, MI, across the Thunder Bay River. The bridge was renovated a few years ago, a project which included 2 barge cranes. Once a brownish grey, it has rusted to a pure brown tint. Perhaps it is cheaper to let it rust instead of paint it. I guess they built the things so tough, they can sit without paint. Every bridge on Marquette Rail's mainline that I've seen has rusted, the old, old paint flaking off. If you have the official reason, please comment! Watch Episode 61 to see the remainder of the yard switching, including the old roundhouse!
