Killer version of a Phillip Mitchell song, also recorded by Mavis Staples, and Charles Smith. The Patterson Singers were better known as a gospel group and this is a track from their only secular album, and it's one of my favourite soul albums. They also recorded a 45 for United Artists with Mr. Soft Touch b/w What Did You Do For Your Fellow Man Today, but all their other recordings were gospel.
