Datatec's "SR Series" safety recorder records vehicle operation data and displays driving characteristics for areas that the driver is unaware of in an easy to understand score system.
The device rates the driver's own driving habits by assessing the daily driving operations of traveling (use of the accelerator), turning (use of the steering wheel), and stopping (use of the brakes) and displays the results using radar charts, scores, and comments.
The SR Series safety recorder also links the path of travel and the driving operation record with a map as it displays results so that the driver can understand details about dangerous driving conditions, locations, and time of day.
The SR Series uses the pendulum principle to determine the safety level of the driving conditions. Safe driving conditions are those that do not cause the pendulum to swing.
