I am making a 6 and a half foot long wood blade for my ceiling fan motor using Muddy's instructions. I modified the measurements a bit as his instructions were for a shorter blade. The root will be 13 degrees or more and 3 degrees at the tip. I will try to cut the flat end stage with a table saw to speed things up and then follow up with a reciprocating saw and file. Since I'm not an experienced wood worker, this would be quite an undertaking. I hope the longer blade will help turn the ceiling fan motor/alternator in my backyard which doesn't get a lot of wind.
