It's hard to imagine any better management experience than overseeing a space shuttle mission. But Kwatsi Alibaruho, lead flight director for this month's final shuttle flight, sensed his time at NASA was coming to an end and wanted more. Even while preparing the Atlantis crew and support team over the past year for the final launch to the International Space Station, Alibaruho found time to earn his executive MBA at Rice's Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business. Alibaruho will depart Johnson Space Center (JSC) on July 29 to become executive director of systems engineering for Hamilton Sunstrand, a Connecticut-based subsidiary of United Technologies that develops aerospace, industrial and space system products.
