During the early '60's, there were many cheap Japanese built two transistor radios being made in a variety of different case styles and under many different brand names.  These were often called "boy's radios" and sold very cheaply.  As you might expect, they are not good performers. They are doing good to pick up the strongest AM stations that are located within a few miles of the listener.  Despite all that, they are still neat radios to have as part of a transistor radio collection.
