This storm rolled in very slowly around 5 AM. Very good quality deep-pitched distant thunder was audible for a good 30 minutes before the onset of the heavy convective rain core. It's nice to be able to hear strong thunder with only a light rain in the background. Please turn up the headphones and enjoy! Beware, there are a few loud thunderclaps, especially concentrated around the 15 minute mark. I included the video footage for the lightning flashes, but there isn't too much to see. You won't really miss anything if you open a new tab to continue browsing as you listen. The footage is mostly uncut. Only one 3 minute cut around 20 minutes in (I had to use the restroom and didn't want to leave the camera out where it could be potentially exposed to a rogue wind gust or burst of rain blowing into the garage). Also a few brief cuts to remove distracting clicks (from me touching/adjusting the camera) and a burst of wind that hit the microphone at one point.
