Cyclone Bansi remains a strong Category 2 storm on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale, and Class II warnings are now in effect for Rodrigues. Mauritius remains under the same warning conditions, and tropical storm conditions remain a possibility with heavy rain and gusty winds. The storm may intensify once again in the next 24 to 48 hours.
