Police: Murder suspect's girlfriend lied

CHEVIOT, Ohio (WKRC) -- A local woman found herself in trouble with the law after police said she tried to protect her boyfriend who was charged in a murder case.

Detectives said they talked to Mariah Haskett after the murder of Chandler Baker in Cheviot November 2014. They said she lied to them about her boyfriend's involvement.

The 17-year-old was one of two people charged in the deadly shooting. Baker was shot to death at a Cheviot apartment complex.
    
19-year-old Kendrick McCloud was also charged in his murder.
