Estimated to have been built towards the end of WW2 (Commissioned roughly around October 1942) This bunker complex was unusually built by a local private contractor rather than the Royal Engineers (perhaps due to a lack of man power at this point in time). The project was given £1000 and a construction period of three months. The facility begins with an external concreate building at the base of a cliff with the bunker descending down beneath said cliff. It is believed that the bunker was used for “advanced communications” by the Navy and would have passed on information from coastal shipping radio traffic to Bletchley Park for decoding.

Unfortunately, the bunker over recent years has been inundated with druggies and vandals. Bent spoons, needles and spray paint have turned this once great bunker into a ruin.
