Mijikenda community leaders want DCI to probe malpractices at KPA

A Mijikenda Cultural Development Association popularly known as Tairen Amidzichenda has called upon the directorate of criminal investigations to investigate corrupt dealings happening at the Kenya Ports Authority. The community's chairman Peter Ponda denounced a group of individuals that recently appeared in the media purporting to speak on behalf of the Mijikenda community in support of Kenya Port Authority acting managing director Daniel Manduku. He said the group was not sent by the community and that their views and opinions was to serve their personal agendas. Speaking to the media in Kilifi Town Thursday, Ponda reiterated that the appraisals and performance of KPA officials fully lies on the port users which includes clearing and forwarding agents, manufactures and even the government.
