Saw Ben Stein's movie. He is not a great documentarian, but I think the cultural debate brought out in the film is important. That it is a CULTURAL debate is important. ID truly has little to do with science, but neither does Darwinian fundamentalism. These two warring camps are arguing over how human beings ought to interpret nature, both inner and outer. Science itself has left this debate in the past and moved on to synthesizing the unfortunate "spirt" vs. "matter" dichotomy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Systems_theory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autopoiesis New science of qualities: http://www.edge.org/3rd_culture/goodwin/goodwin_p1.html
