MIDA Expects Aerospace Industry To Generate RM55 Billion By 2030

The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), expects the local aerospace industry to generate a revenue of RM55.2 billion by 2030. Its deputy CEO, Datuk N. Rajendran said out of the total RM20.4 billion will be contributed by maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), RM21.2 billion from aero-manufacturing and RM13.6 billion from engineering and design services. He was speaking after signing an memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB), today. The main objective of the MoU is to explore potential areas of collaboration between MAHB and MIDA to facilitate foreign direct investments into alaysia via promotion and implementation of investments, focusing on the KLIA Aeropolis. KLIA Aeropolis is a flagship airport city development within the 100 square kilometre of KLIA land in Sepang.
