Michael Hartman, an assistant professor in the University of Michigan Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences, discusses the safety of American nuclear reactors. Hartman was a reactor operator in the Navy and at U-M's nuclear reactor (which has since been shut down). He was a core design engineer for Westinghouse Electric Company as well.
