Tons of Small Fish, 1 Big One out of New Hope Landing

A few days ago Matt from Yankee Tanker Outdoors and I hit the water for some fishing.  We decided on New Hope Landing outside of Walnut Grove, CA as out launch, in an effort to get out of the 18+ mph winds down in the central Delta.  

We caught a ton of fish, but they were mostly small.  Quite a few of the fish were either Spotted Bass or the well respected Meanmouth, I hybrid bass known for fighting hard even when they are small.

I caught fish on several different set-ups, including the Crankbait, Spinnerbait, Grassburner, and the Dropshot.  Two Dropshot Baits worked pretty good for me, the Dreamshot in Morning Dawn and the Biwaa Duece.  

Overall it was a good day.
