Tobago gets a new T&TEC power plant to the tune of over $139 Million. Minister of Public Utilities Robert Le Hunte said this is a milestone achievement for Tobago. He spoke at the commissioning of the plant at the Cove Eco-Industrial Estate & Business Park. THA Chief Secretary Kelvin Charles said this plant is long in coming and would bring Tobago to near full electricity capacity. The upgrade, a 20-megawatt addition of power equals to 25% of the total power generation now available on the island, enough to feed some 7,000 homes.
