The Garden Route escapes water shortages after receiving rains

While many towns in the Western Cape face severe water shortages, the Garden Route has been blessed with good rain. The Garden Route dam outside George is overflowing.  It has a capacity of 10 million cubic metres. Plans are now in place to increase its capacity by 25 percent.
