Inquiry into Jiba, Mrwebi: Karyn Maughan

President Cyril Ramaphosa has told senior National Prosecuting Authority heavyweights, Advocates Nomgcobo Jiba and Lawrence Mrwebi, that he intends to pursue inquiries into their fitness to hold office. The pair has to provide reasons as to why they should not be suspended before the 10th of this month. The President has also decided to drop the appeal that was being pursued by his predecessor, Jacob Zuma, to protect the two. This comes as speculation mounts that there may soon be a shake-up at the very top of the NPA - with even prosecutions boss, Shaun Abrahams's future looking uncertain.
