Most people have, at some point in their life, found hair in their food.
Yonei has developed a new foreign object detector which detects hair in obento (which are Japanese snack boxes) and in other food packages.
The obento conveyor moves at 30 meters per minute.
"The colour sensor is looking at the obento and there is the hair.
You can also detect other foreign matter. That's an eyelash."
The machine detects hair using a colour camera and hair detection software.
