Plane Thinking - Enthusiastic Students Most people I've shown planing techniques to, have planed before. Their enthusiasm is truly wonderful. However it tends to be shown mostly by their vigorous approach. Once this enthusiasm can be channeled into improving and maintaining their tool performance, the physical aspect becomes more controlled and the results improve. Plane Thinking is a series of musings on wood and the crafting of objects from it. Although usually lighthearted in presentation, topics covered are often of great importance where fine woodworking is the aim, rather than the cheap tat that is more commonly the norm these days.
