Did a short train trip to Montreal for June 2 and 3 of this year (2015). Great ride, great town. City rental bikes are everywhere and an excellent way to see any city, even at what could be a surprising amount if you stay on your bike for hours to see the city. It's still worth it, having that amount of latitude, and control over where you go and see. Great exercise as well that offers a drop-off around most of the city. Not so much in Toronto, which I think is the failure of the implementation here. They have to expand it. Anyway, not much footage. Great meals, great beer, great parts of town, that are all walkable. Montreal is a great place to visit. I recommend VIA Rail if you are in Canada. Business Class back to Toronto was stupendous. INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL = BAD I got locked into a stupid reservation with Intercontinental Hotels and they were bastards. They didn't treat me right at all. I didn't take any photo ID because I didn't need it. I travel on a bicycle a lot in Europe, and I am used to minimizing my ID as I don't want it stolen nor lost, especially when I don't need it. So, the hotel demanded my photo ID upon checking in, and I told them I didn't have any. So they charged my credit card a stupid amount and reimbursed me the next day. Ironic how their reservation system is carved in stone, yet they don't mention you need photo ID. Assholes. I will never ever go to an Intercontinental hotel ever again, and I will spread the news about how they treat their customers.
