EDIT: Since posting this I have been overwhelmed with support and offers to collaborate. Kappa Danielson has an amazing version that I will link and I have projects in the works with a few other talented tubers. I am still always open to collaborating but I ask that we do a different song. Here are the links.

As I said in the intro, I am hoping one of the fine female artists out there is interested in collabing on this one. In my dream there was a lead female vocal with some choice male harmonies and it sounded great.

Please overlook the couple of pitchy notes, Mikey and I just felt this was the best take we were going to get. BTW, you have to watch out for that kid. He is as big a stage stealer as they come.

Oh, and yes, I am as surprised as everyone else that I dreamed a country song. I never listen to country. But I have to follow the tunes where they lead. I considered calling this "Lost Inside Regret" or simply "Regret", but in my dream is was called "I Don't Quite Get It" so I went with that.

Thanks for all the support. I hope all is well with you.

Justin

Lyrics
----------------------

You were always a smooth talker
Equipped with a silver tongue
Soon as we started
We agreed we were done

Reasons they were many
At least, it seemed so then
Now I'm not so certain
Why we had to end

Don't look behind
If you don't want to find
You're still on my mind

I don't quite get it
Why it hurts so much
When we agreed it was for the best
I can't quite let it
Slip past touch
Lost inside regret

Now you have another
Beneath the arm that held me
Did you have this all worked out
When we cast our last spell

Bridge/Chorus repeat

In a world where people have no home
No water, no shelter from the storm
I know there are others who are far worse off

But I don't care

Chorus repeats
